By default you get a transparent PNG so the cutout drops cleanly onto any background. You can also pick a solid background color and export as JPG or WebP for a smaller file.

Clear subjects with a distinct foreground — people, products, animals, objects — give the cleanest cutouts. Very low-contrast edges or fine strands of hair can need a little touch-up, but most photos work in one shot.
